Jannie Erasmus

Jannie Erasmus

Business Head for the Surveillance and Analytics Division

NEC Africa / XON

Jannie Erasmus is currently the Business Head for the Surveillance and Analytics Division for NEC Africa / XON for all solutions on the African continent. The solutions range from turnkey access control systems, full CCTV solutions to the full integration of these systems with the required Artificial Intelligence and analytics for these systems.

Jannie Erasmus developed an early interest in security systems and solutions and started his career 27 years ago within the Defense Force IT environment. With the integration of the Defense, Police and Government IT departments in 1999 to form the State Information Technology Agency (SITA), he was recruited as the Security specialist for the security systems for all the 29 offices across South Africa.

In 2008 Jannie moved to the private sector and realized that all the security systems are becoming digital and with the growth in IoT applications for security systems, became a Certified Data Centre Expert. This knowledge ensured that he was able to provide his clients with the best security solutions as also ensure that the IT network, server and storage as well as Infrastructure requirements were met and kept up to the required standard.

In 2011 Jannie joined XON Systems that grew to one of the biggest System Integrators in South Africa. In 2019, with the completion of the NEC/XON merger, Jannie was appointed the Business Head for the Surveillance and Analytics Division.
