Francesco Lucci, Building, Infrastructure, Power and Utility Market Leader for Bureau Veritas Africa.
With 10 years of relevant experiences in infrastructure construction consultancy projects, he graduated at the University of Florence obtaining with honour a Master Degree in Civil Engineering with Transportation. After graduation, he cooperated with the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the University of Florence in several scientific activities related to Airport Infrastructure Design. After that, Francesco Lucci was engaged as a Road Safety Expert by the Traffic Department of Arezzo District Authority, providing the implementation of the accident database and the assessment on the road safety capacity of the existing road network aimed at the identification of a range of measures and procedures needed to eliminate recurring accidents.
In October 2009 he worked for I.R.PE.E.T, the Regional Institute for Economic Planning of Tuscany, for providing an ex-post analysis concerning the regional public service, the assessment on the effects and effectiveness of the projects scheduled by the Regional Plan of Transport and Logistic Mobility issued in 2004 and a proposal of investment strategy
Thanks to these multi disciplinary experiences, in 2010 he was hired by Spea Engineering S.p.A. (Autostrade per L’Italia S.p.A. – Atlantia Group) as International Project Manager. In that position, he led many African projects among others:
