Helena De Flaviis has recently joined Khatib and Alami as Senior Director to lead the development and implementation of the firm’s project finance consultancy and capital investment arm, focused on both client-side advisory as well as co-development of public infrastructure assets (both economic and social), master urban developments, and private sector real estate developments across the Middle East and Africa, covering a range of sectors (transport, power, water, healthcare, education, hospitality, and mixed-use developments). Current projects range from reconstruction programs in Iraq, mega developments in the GCC, railway development in North Africa, through to affordable housing programs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Over her seventeen years’ career spent across organisations like Brookfield, KPMG and Serco, in the UK, Aspac and the Middle East, Helena has in depth experience throughout the lifecycle of a range of infrastructure assets, from early feasibility and project development, deal structuring, construction through to long-term operations, having led projects on both sell-side and buy-side, representing project developers, investors, builders, governments and operators of billion-dollar plus public assets, including airports, hospitals and roads.
