David Mpango Kakuba is the Managing Director of Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), a body charged with the regulation of Air Transport in Uganda. Before the appointment as Managing Director, he was Deputy Managing Director of the same body for nine years. Before joining CAA, Dr. Kakuba was a Director Management Services/Corporation Secretary for National Water and Sewerage Corporation, a utility charged with the provision of Water and Sewerage Services in urban areas of Uganda for 14 years. Earlier he worked as Deputy Board Secretary of Uganda Electricity Board for six years. Immediately after College he worked as a Senior Magistrate with the Judicial Department of Uganda. Dr. Kakuba holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Business Administration and a Bachellor’s degree of Laws. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Dr. Kakuba is a seasoned professional Company Secretary:- He has practical management experience and commitment to Results-Oriented management. He is a good negotiator with Trade Unions and believer in Corporate Industrial harmony. Dr. Kakuba is a good communicator with a demonstrated high degree of initiative, self-motivation and proven ability of maintaining consistently high standards of work under pressure particularly in a changing business environment that needs appropriate change management skills. He cherishes adhering to good corporate governance principles and he is happily married.
